Client Services Associate
The Ellerson Group, Inc., a registered investment advisory firm, is seeking candidates for a full-time Client Service Associate position in our Annapolis, Maryland office. The Client Service Associate is responsible for the administration of client services as it pertains to interaction and management of client assets and financial affairs.

The main purpose of the Client Service Associate position is to service all administrative activities related to clients' financial lives. In addition, this person is tasked with assisting with creating, implementing, and executing on various financial planning strategies for clients. The main goal of the role is to create a trusted relationship with the client, other advisors, families, etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Manage new client implementation process
Build and maintain client relationships aimed at client retention
Coordinate and direct client activities with other team members and assist as necessary
Maintain up-to-date familiarity of industry trends that affect the investment market
Understand the client’s organization and procedures
Understand the client’s overall business needs and identify value-added services that The Ellerson Group can provide
Maintain client electronic and hard copy data files in a timely manner
Adhere to ethics and employee code of conduct policies
Monitor all activities for evidence of fraud
Lead the firm’s efforts to maintain and optimize CRM activities, email, phone system and other IT capabilities
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of financial services or equivalent experience post-college
Basic personal finance knowledge required: familiarity with different types of bank, brokerage, and retirement accounts; basic understanding of personal income tax issues
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, able to succinctly and clearly communicate with high net worth clients
Detail oriented, organized, and diligent with follow-up. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
Strong intellectual capacity – a continuous learner, highly analytical, with good conceptual and critical thinking skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
Series 7 and/or 65 license as well as CFP designation or CFP classes preferred
Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and comfortable utilizing databases and Internet for research. Familiarity with financial planning and investment reporting programs, as well as CRM software experience preferred
COMPENSATION:
Salary negotiable based upon level of experience
Additional bonuses determined by growth of the assets under management
